FREDERICK WILLIAMS

Frederick L. Williams - CEO and Executive Director

Frederick is a native of Montgomery, Alabama and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He is a Certified Peer Support Specialist and Behavioral Health Counselor with the Alabama Department of Mental Health and a Commander with the American Legion.

Commander Williams currently serves as Executive Director of the PEERS Caring Home for Veterans - a Veterans housing program he founded and established in 2017. PEERS stands for a Positive Environment Engaging Recovery Support. He also still serves as the Commander of an American Legion Post he founded in Montgomery, Alabama in 2018. He prides himself on being an asset to his community and runs a Food Drive on a monthly basis where he feeds upwards of 700 families. His passion is giving back and he aims to always be an advocate of care for veterans, elderly and children.

He joined forces with his brother Eugene Thomas, and Iron Bowl legends Smokey Hodge and Aundray Bruce as co-founder of S.A.F.E. Youth Camp Cordinators Inc. with the full intentions to further advance his community support efforts by combining their unique individual approaches and ideas, and by uniting their similar passion to always be of service to their community.

Commander Fred Williams of American Legion's Post 1948 and Executive Director of the PEERS Caring Home for Veterans purchased 200 hams to support the "Greg Calhoun's Gift and Giving Memorial." He took part in the loading and distribution process just to be HandsOn and to enjoy the energy of the Giving Spirit.
